For eight weeks during the summer months of July and August, we can all enjoy full period costume and live Elizabethan music at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival.

The festival has been going since 1987 and if you haven’t already been, you have around 2 weeks to enjoy productions; As You Like It (until the 21st Aug), Henry V and Twelfth Night ( until Aug 28th)

Are you the sort of person who likes to take theatre breaks? Looking at what’s popular online, I found out that there are many people who like to take London Theatre Breaks

I live in London, so it’s easy for me to take a train into the West End, or even travel around the fringes to see smaller shows. As such I don’t have to think about things like hotels, transportation, places to eat everything like that. If you are a subscriber, and you are someone who regularly takes London theatre breaks, perhaps you could share some of your insights.

If enough people are interested, perhaps I will then go out and investigate some more about theatre breaks in the capital, maybe unearth some more info that could help you out finding deals and such.

Winner of Olivier, Evening Standard and Critics’ Circle Awards, War Horse is currently at the New London Theatre, Drury Lane, London WC2B 5PW.

Based on a novel by Michael Morpurgo, WWI forms the backdrop for this production which sees the players working with life sized puppets by the world renowned Handspring Puppet Company.

I haven’t seen as yet but it’s certainly the ticket that everyone seems to want.
